The fishing port of Nan Fang Ao is located on the east coast of Taiwan Island. Facing the port is the Taoist temple Nan Tian Gong, dedicated to Matsu, goddess of the sea. Without fishing, the village would see its activities disappear… And to assure peace and prosperity, one must pray to Matsu.
